   Please don’t publish witty or iro­nic mate­rial again, as real nove­lists like myself have nothing to do with such crap. Next time, sti­fle any crea­tive expres­sion you may have to pro­tect the sac­red circle of “real writers.”

   Please don’t take your job so seriously. Every so often peo­ple should be able to laugh at the good and the bad of their pro­fes­sion no mat­ter what you do.
