It may be to do with Richard's accessing it via EVDO - possibly they forgot to block it on the mobile gateway(?) Furl has been blocked for about a month now. It's all about the cache. It's worth noting that blocking of sites is sometimes not systematic through China - there are occasions where in some cities it won't be possible to access a site while in others it's still available.
