Hugh,
I'm a faithful listener to the Gillmor Gang, because I'm two years into a Marketing position with AOL Voice Services, and wanting to be educated and inspired about the space. Like many listeners, apparently, I found your visit to be among the most enjoyable. Perhaps more importantly, I thought it perhaps the most harmonious for all the participants. I came away wanting to explore, for the first time, the blogosphere, and shake off the shackles of the mainstream media and marketing model. I was embarrassed to recognize myself among those losers who would probably go to one of those conferences looking to be "schooled." But I hope there's "partial credit" for at least making the effort. How do you start a successful blog - "Blogs for Dummies?" Do you start with a burning desire to express yourself, a load of knowledge you want to share, or just a sense that you might be missing out on something by not being there? I'm in the latter camp. Anyway, thanks.

Fun show. Listened to it twice. That Gillmor has a nerve implying that Carlisle is uncivilised, mind you.

Hey, your cartoons are on Vitamin! Cool!
(the link: <a href="http://www.thinkvitamin.com/)" rel="nofollow">http://www.thinkvitamin.com/)</a>
P.S. Loved the podcast, mainly because hearing your voice makes you more human now, and not some cartoon drawing marketing god. Rock on.
P.P.S. Steve sounds like Spock from Star Trek!

This is the only Gillmor Gang I've listened to the whole way through, and you're responsible for it. Also, I imagined you were older - I just feel like highly successful (popular?) bloggers should be far older than me. I was surprised to hear that you're only 40.

Very enjoyable Hugh, thanks. So, where's the widget. makes sense to me. I've gone minimal, but I'll squeeze a syndication link in there somewhere when you're up and running. I'll be in London end of the month if you wanna hook up.

Are you afraid of success, Hugh? :)
Interesting banter, I agree: you do deserve more. Your stuff is awesome! I'd buy a book from you and then some.

Always fun to hear the voice of someone you only read. "Get tags - get a widget - get Yahoo!" You deserve it etc.

Fun podcast.
Use something like Qumana or ecto, set up a series of appropriate tags and then simply select the tags you want. That makes it easier but not fully automatic - you gotta put *some* effort in.
