  1. Pinot Grigio = Chardonnay 2.0? ;-)

  2. Anyone know where I can get an rss feed that will put some business cartoons on my site?

I honestly think that the name Stormhoek is the reason you cannot sell wine. This is an OK name or a beer but it is not the name for a wine. Change the name and your sales will double overnight. Don

  4. @Steve: Stormhoek is the name of the winery. As far as I know, Hugh hasn’t been involved in naming the company.
Why would ‘Stormhoek’ be an obstacle to selling wine, anyway? They have wines in Italy (Friuli) with pictures of Hitler and Mussolini on the labels, and boy do they sell.

Sorry about that — my post is getting eaten by the comment spam filter, and that’s what the error message said to do. My post is still getting eaten, so I think I’ll email Hugh, as I can’t see anything at all wrong with it.

  6. Finally found some Stormhoek the other night Hugh, took it round to friends for dinner and bugger me if it didn’t stay in the fridge (not by design, I HTA) so I still haven’t tasted it yet… Soon though, soon!

The power of blogvertising: So I’m in Sainsbury’s, idly browsing the wine shelves, and there’s this bottle of Stormhoek Shiraz. I’ll have me some of that methinks, I thought they only made Chardonnay.
Not tasted yet, will report back.
