triple whammy: tom in the times [and the guardian], hugh in the guardian

Today we had a double whammy in the national press. First, Thomas was quoted in The Times (of London):

I think its a triple whammy cos isn’t there a whole 500 words by Thomas in the “Changing Media” supplement in the middle of the Guardian today (not online as far as I can tell) outlining how English Cut came about.
Yeah, I couldn’t find it online, either.
Barging in on bloggers
Media Guardian today ran a story that caught my eye because of a single word in the headline that I thought was a cheap pun on canal boaters… (‘barged in’ — ugh) but, mercy!, it wasn’t a pun. It was
I’m a pigeon living in London and I love to blog. Decided one day to launch a ‘Give Pigeons A Chance’ campaign targetted at our waste of a Mayor, Ken Livingstone. After 3 weeks I’m just pushing 276 signatures. Being a pigeon this is something I could never have achieved with a clip board. Blogging enables those who don’t have a voice to speak louder than they ever could if they had one. Does that make sense?
