untangled life advertisement

This an ad for “A really cool online shop in Venice, CA. run by my old friend, Rand Denny.”
i.e Untan­gled Life. The link above is to their blog. The link here is to their main home­page.
Here’s the deal. Rand is an old friend of mine. We were tal­king on the phone over the wee­kend and I thought I might try pro­mo­ting his store, just for the hell of it.
I’m not being paid for it [not yet, any­way]. My main moti­va­tion is seeing what hap­pens with it as a “blog­ver­ti­sing” con­cept. If what I do has any posi­tive (or nega­tive) effect on sales, I’ll let you know. But I do think it’s a fas­ci­na­ting oppor­tu­nity to mess around with the adver­ti­sing model.

    I’m tal­king about Untan­gled Life with peo­ple in New Orleans. I love the model of a blog dri­ven com­merce web site. Great pro­ducts, humor, and human inte­rac­tion, much coo­ler than a shop­ping cart.
    I’ll have more to blog about Untan­gled Life myself after I’ve follo­wed the feed for awhile.
