I like that — “requires passion and authority”. I’m not sure whether it really leaves out most people, but I think it’s true that blogging requires passion — if you don’t have it you won’t keep going — and authority — at least in some defined field.
I’ve been reading your feed for a few months and I find your cartoons fantastic. They’re simple but very effective in relaying a strong message.
I would like to use this one (my favourite) on my blog if you let me. My post will be exatly about this, as I’ve recently been lacking the passion to update my blog…

Blogging requires passion and authority. Which leaves out most people.
I’m not always a huge fan of Hugh MacLeod’s cartoons. But this one appealed:
