You might want to have a look at these guys: http://www.btailoring.co.uk they make bespoke suits using traditional techniques and are very smart! Plus they will come and vist you!

Well, we’re certainly not going into the “insanely cheap” business, Andrew
Besides, our stuff is actually really good value for money, for what you get. I know some folk that sell their suits for about 3–4 as much as we do, and they’re not nearly as good as ours.

I hope the shirts idea will fly for you but does'nt 'insanely expensive' smell of 'overpriced'? Not really for me to say - you're the marketing guy but would'nt 'insanely well made' be more alluring. Maybe you are relying on the 'expensive=good' theory. Good luck anyway.
