Blog Finder is ludicrously easy to game. I just made myself the #3 authority on Microsoft ; ) But Scoble temporarily made himself the #1 authority on Apple, so what the hell…
It’s probably only a matter of days before every major topic returns an identical list of the most-linked blogs, in order, regardless of the true nature of the blog.
Kathy, you may be right, but I’m betting that people (especially authoritative bloggers) are by their nature honest, and want to tag themselves in the appropriate categories that they think they belong in.
But we’ll see! That’s why this is in beta, to find out how the community interprets things, and release early and release often.

I agree with David, Kathy… you have to try things out.
The funny thing about A-Listers is: a lot of them are economicly dependant on their blogs. They can’t afford to lose the Googlejuice, ergo they can’t afford to lose their reader’s trust.
Which helps keeps them honest.
Technorati has just added another whistle on a car with a broken engine.
