From English Cut:

Also, my tailoring colleague Jonathan Quearney and I met up with marketing mavens Johnnie Moore and James Cherkoff in London recently, where they interviewed us for a podcast.

I was very pleased with this. Like Tom’s earlier Chris Lydon interview on US Public Radio, this kind of stuff adds more dimension to “Brand English Cut” etc.
Kudos to Johnnie Moore for making it happen.

I have followed your ‘English Cut’ blog for the past few months and the launch of Stormhoek. I think you have first mover advantage. You were the first to try this whole thing about bespoke suits.
What happens to another tailor who operates in the same space? I think another blog about suits would not have the same freshness and consequently the same impact.
As blogs ahve proliferated, it is getting harder and harder to keep up, even with the blogs you really like. Any consumer is likely to have only a couple of hours free during a typical workday.
So, my contention is this. Yes, you have done a fantastic job for English Cut. Yes, it may work for Stormhoek as well. But the more products you start to write about, no matter how objective you are, your blog has the real risk of becoming another ‘shopping site’

    Agreed. There’s a risk.
But it’s not as risky as doing nothing ;-)
