new blogcard designs

image12345691.jpg
I shall soon be adding a few new designs to the Blogcards range.
Any requests?
[PS:] I’m also having all the “©gapingvoid.com” tags removed from the front of the blogcards (they’re still on a few of them, but not all). They look tacky.

  1. I’d love you to add:
“It’s all about thriving in markets that are smarter and faster than you are.
It’s all about being utterly fucked if you don’t know what I’m talking about.”
It’s my favorite but I know you use it in the Hughtrain so perhaps don’t want it on cards?

  2. miss rogue says:

YES! (I already own the: “He upgraded his conversation…” cards — love them!)
Was it good for you? Read my blog.
The market for something to believe in is infinite.
The thing is, I just don’t think I’m your target market.
Film student and art student duking it out: I’m more annoying! No I’m more annoying!
I wanted to have my shit together by the time I turned thirty. Then I turned thirty.
Hi. I’m a mid-level jackoff that goes to alot of meetings.
I’m blogging this. Oh, fuck off.

“Film student and art student duking it out” is already a blogcard design ;-)
“Smarter and faster” I am considering, actually.

  4. Brad K says:

Market for something to belive in.…would be great. Wore that t-shirt to a party on Saturday and had this comment numerous times…“need more beer before I consider that one.” Great.

  5. miss rogue says:

    oops…
    and…
I’ve started blogging. You’re still an asshole.
(your little penis men make me giggle)

  6. Josh Kaufman says:

Uncanny — I was just looking through the Blogcards selection, and was disappointed when the Hughtrain cards weren’t available. I’d love to see any/all of them included, particularly:
    * “The market for something to believe in…”
    * “Quality isn’t job one…”
    * “It’s all about thriving in markets…”
    * “Business is change”
    * “All products are conversations”
Can’t wait for the new designs!

  7. I was going to bug you about this next week, but I’d love one that says something along the lines of
“You’re not important just because I gave you my card”.
Heh. I can’t give out the total asshole ones at tech talks I give :)

  8. The god and satin convo about being bored is the one for me. But here is the real deal I would be willing to pay quite a premium for a quality bound copy of most of your designs. It would make for an excellent coffee table piece(convo starter) and would be great as a gift.….I mean really I love your sh@* but don’t always want to sift through the archives to share them with friends and family. Put me down for 50 copies.…I said it first!!! Maybe?!?!!

  9. Dave says:

I currently have “obviously a lunatic” but when I reprint them, I’d love to upgrade to “The market for something to believe in is infinite”. I’d have bought the t-shirt but when you convert that to US dollars it’s something like $700. Damn you, weak dollar!!

  10. cynthia says:

you saying my blogcards are tacky?

  11. sweetlisajay says:

“No, it’s not happening for me today – of course I say that every day” is my personal favorite, my theme song, and the one I have on my blog. I’d order that one in a heartbeat.
(I nearly ordered “I can’t take this shit anymore! he said, mistakenly” last week but then I realized I STILL haven’t decided what my name is going to be when I get married in July. But that’s a whole ‘nother issue.)

  12. Dave says:

PS — I have a batch that don’t have the © gapingvoid.com on them and I wish they did. Why not spread the virality? I really think you should have a reference on there somewhere.

  13. Cliff Cheney says:

I guess I’ll be the weirdo and ask for a positive inclusion: “You’re only as good as the love you have for others.”
My girlfriend is a socialworker fixing the shit that the rest of us create and this card would be perfect for the good souls like her.

  14. Adam Bernard says:

    My favorites:
    - the only thing separating him from oblivion…
    - company heirarchy (sociopaths/clueless/losers)
    - quality isn’t job one…
    - whisky – it’s what Scottish people have…

  15. hugh macleod says:

these I’m definiteley doing: company heirarchy (sociopaths/clueless/losers)… quality isn’t job one… market for something to believe in is infinite… read my blog… utterly fucked if you don’t know what I’m talking about… badass chick blogger.… why do you blog, to make money… i’ve started blogging, you’re still an asshole… and soe others…
12 selected so far. get those up n’ running, then aybe add another dozen after that.

  16. John says:

    Millionaire/Artist
    PLEASE!!!!!

  17. Debbie Weil says:

    Hugh,
I’ve got the very card you picture! And have gotten some pretty interesting comments… As in, “Is your brain really like this??” Couldn’t decide if it was good “branding” in that I’m selling myself as a corporate consultant, etc.
Can’t wait to see the new cards!

  18. hugh macleod says:

I see your point, Debbie.… but they weren’t originally designed as “business cards”. They were designed to be given out in bars in crazy random moments etc etc.

  19. ‘Quality isn’t Job One
Being totally fucking amazing is Job One’
Please make that into a card/sticker, etc.

  20. hugh macleod says:

Bradley, that one is on the list.

  21. Got my “Eric” [just wants enough to pay rent and a couple of beers with friends] ones a couple of weeks ago and love ‘em … thanks.
I would have gotten the “No one moves to New York just to survive …” had they been available.

  22. Yes!
“The Market for something to believe in is infinite.”

  23. hugh macleod says:

“No one moves to New York just to survive …”
that one is available, as far as I know…
