t-shirt subscriptions

Just got off the phone with my t-shirt vendor.
The website should be ready to go in a day or two. Just one or two details to be ironed out. We’re hoping Wednesday-Friday for launch.
We’re limiting the subscription service[*] to 100 subscribers only to start with, to give non-subscribers a chance to buy the 100 remaining shirts[**].
Sounds fair enough, right?
[*] The Subscription Service: Sign up and every time there’s a new design out, we ship it to you automatically, and deduct from your credit card. And again, yes, you can unsubscribe at any time etc etc.
[**] As I’ve said before, we’re doing limited editions of 200 shirts per design, and no more than 4 designs available at one time. Undersupply is better than oversupply etc.
[UPDATE:] People are asking questions in the comments; I’m answering them in the comments. Go there if want to know more etc.

Hey I may have missed it, but how much are these T-Shirts going to cost or is that still Secret. I know which one I want.….
RSS Readers — Must have Tech
Lots of people might not care about Hugh’s T-shirts, limited edition, and all of that stuff but if you are watching this whole ‘new internet’ thing, you should pay close attention to how this whole T-shirt gig evolves. To the best of my knowledge Hugh
How do I subscribe? Can your t-shirt vendor/you ship to South Africa?
How about the colors? Are they all plain white with the print on them?
I’d definitely prefer gray…
No plans for extra colors… maybe later.
Yep, we ship worldwide, if folk don’t mind paying for the extra postage.
Prices will be revealed when the site launces. Not cheap. Not expensive.
Why ad agencies hate blogs
According to Hugh Macleod of Gaping Void, advertising agencies are not very happy about blogs. He writes:
And how do you subscribe?
How to subscribe: there will be some sort of “SUBSCRIBE” button on the homepage, which you will press and Voila! It’ll take you to a new page and ask you for a whole bunch of personal info (name, address, credit card details, all that standard e-commerce stuff) and then your name automatically be placed on the list of 100… which I might add, will be easy-peasy to remove your name from at a later date, should you decide to unsubscribe etc etc.
If anyone’s got a better system, do let me know.
Is there a chance to have one’s own logo added on the t-shirts, e.g. as a subscriber? The reason I’m asking is that I’m thinking about using the t-shirts as presents for selected clients, so I’d need my logo on them (the t-shirts
).
I’m interested to get these shirts, but I’m not sure about being a subscriber. Maybe order shirts I like first, then be a subscriber later on. I live in the Philippines, can these be FedEx’d???
Hey Hugh, I really like your blog. My evil side lives for it! Bwahahahaha!
