Hugh, you have finally lost it.
First you tell us that “markets are conversations”, and there is clearly a market for blogging springing up around us.
Now you’re saying that people who want to have conversations within this new market are over.
Surely, ergo markets are not conversations.

Good point, Beck. Seriously, I keep thinking the only who read my blog are the people who link to me or leave comments. A dozen readers or so a day, whatever.
In fact, it’s a bit more than that.

A lot of the problem is that (most) bloggers enjoy thinking about/writing about/reading about metablogging. In the process, they completely forget that most of their readers don’t have blogs of their own, and the subject comes off as inside-baseball.
