for example:

Robert Scoble is a “HughMark”.
Microsoft is not.
So what is Microsoft going to do about it?
[UPDATE:] Robert answers the question in the comments. And extremely well, in my opinion.

Microsoft hired me!
We’re turning more people into Hugh Marks.
Just as a followup, yes, they hired Robert. They recently pinged me for days and times available to speak with someone who was “very interested” in talking about how I might fit. Then went silent after I provided windows in my schedule to coordinate a call.
FWIW, as often as Microsoft creates a Hughmark, they also seem to leave a bitemark somewhere else.
Just my two cents.
I like “bitemark.” Or maybe “suckmark” would be better. Or “skidmark.”
You know, the anti-Hughmark…
I can see it now, Hughmarks VS Skidmarks to the death.
I felt like I had to come update in fairness. I’ve now had follow-up contact from MS and have a meeting scheduled. And gotten yet another ping from another source.
Maybe the bitemark is only a scratchmark.
