   That is cer­tainly the style of the current Ame­ri­can Anglo Empire. The rest of the world has more to play for, and con­se­quently may be exe­cu­ting the real deal just a little bit har­der.
   In the immor­tal words spo­ken by Mar­tin Sheen in the deeply fla­wed but still bri­lliant Apo­calypse Now, “Char­lie [The Viet­Cong] didn’t need R+R, he just wan­ted a bowl of rice and little bit of rat meat.“
   Still, given that the west is deter­mi­ned expor­ting all of its know how and com­pe­ti­tive edge in the inte­rests of the CEOs next few good quar­ters, then we are about to find out, I suppose.

You need to stop seeing every con­ver­sa­tion as an oppor­tu­nity to piss and moan about what might have been. Stomp your feet, have one last fit of frus­tra­ted sob­bing and then get on with the task of fin­ding the next
