the hughtain PDF

Seth Godin’s ChangeThis.com just published a PDF version of “The Hughtrain”.
[The ChangeThis blurb:] “You’ve read the Cluetrain, now Hugh MacLeod brings you The Hughtrain. A manifesto on brands, blogs, and the now of advertising and marketing. Written and illustrated by one of our most popular authors ever.”
My heartiest thanks to Seth, Amit Gupta and everybody involved with making it happen.
I hope you’ll check it out.

Damn, too late — read it over lunch
Excellent piece, Hugh — I especially loved the bit about the new carpenter maxim
Cheers!
Great news Hugh. Well deserved for such a superior piece of HONEST thinking.
Congrats and Rock on! =)
Behold the Hughtrain
Hugh MacLeod’s Hughtrain, a manifesto about the future of brands and markets, is now available as a PDF from ChangeThis.com.
Bastardstone’s — Waterstone’s employee sacked for blogging
So, Waterstone’s bookshop have just fired Joe Gordon, an employee of eleven years, due to his blog. Pretty stupid move and another example of a company/brand (blah!) in need of reading the Hughtrain. Okay, it is perhaps a bit dumb…
The Hughtrain Manifesto
Hugh’s revised and sexed up the Cluetrain.
The ‘Hughtrain’ is brilliant — nicely sums up a lot of the ideas I’ve had raging around in my somewhat chaotic mind for some time now — but which are bloody hard to articulate with any real lucidity or conviction. The cartoons are the icing on the cake — I love the amount of feeling you pack into those simple looking black lines. Just bought the ‘Cluetrain’ so looking forward to a little critical analysis. I’ll spread the word about ‘Hughtrain’…
Fabulous work, a breakthrough. Leadership in many new dimensions.
I’m absolutely fucking stunned. I read this just in time.
Thank you.
Hats off to Sir Richard

The Most Honest Manifesto on Marketing
Yes, I think so. People I have shown it to think so as well. People such as luminaries of Asian advertising and the likes. I’ll however allow Hugh to speak for himself here. Hugh can be found at his blog…
