Back in Carlisle. Worst floods in nearly 200 years.
My mum’s basement got hit but we basically got off lighty. Others weren’t so lucky.
The river seems to have receded. I was walking down Warwick Road this evening. Weird to see all the houses abandoned.
The saddest thing in the street was some poor chap’s brownstone… with a Realtor’s “Sold” sign still on it… he probably only bought it a week or two ago at THE HEIGHT of the UK property market, and now… like I said, poor chap.
