The problem with putting your work in a gallery is that you will have to be surrounded by art snobs!
Fuck art galleries, and fuck the snobs that dwell within!
The internet IS an art gallery! It’s the art gallery of the people. Almost anyone can put their useless shit on a webpage for anyone else to see, and the only inane comments you have to deal with are messages like this one that get sent to you from the vast unwashed masses (me), but at least all you have to do is click delete and my nonsensical ramblings will dissapear. Yay!

de nada. there are a ton of galleries in the south of market (soma) area of sf; perhaps some of them don't have the review fee like the canvas does. also...just found this list. most of the openings listings seem to have contact info for the respective galleries. http://www.artbusiness.com/openings.html

How about Vancouver ? Too small ? although from what I understand, the art that’s been emanating from here, and a couple of the galleries, have made Vancouver, over the last decade, one of the top 4or 5 cities in North America for art aficionados.
It’s been described as the world’s first pomo city, tho’ I’m not quite sure what that means (I have some interpretations, which have helped me to think whomever said it might be write).
Lots of people coming here from all over the world these days, tho ’ to visit and live … and then there’s the 2010 Olympics. So, lots of buistle for the next five years.
