next to the john

I’m now quite happy about how I want the “How To Be Creative” book to look.
I want it to be more of a “cartoon book” than a “business book”.
I just want something cool for folk to keep next to the john…

Absolutely, I think it’s ludicrous to write a book on creativity in a “business book” style. Furthermore, it makes sense to put the book in the room best suited to nurturing ideas.

Darnit! Do a comicbook! Or something along that lines! Once again, I refer you to http://www.comixpress.com — :)

The best books (so far) that I’ve read that are business oriented but done in a wonderfully informal ‘pick up and read whatever bits you like’ style are the Wizard of Ads series by Roy H. Williams. I imagine you’ve seen them. They could definitely do with some more cartoons though.. :)

Absolutely — a picture paints a thousand words etc — just so long as it isn’t as over-produced as lovemarks!

Great idea! The comic book style fits you perfectly. To hell with the suits that just don’t get it.
Check out Scott McCloud’s “Reinventing Comics” which is a comic book about the comic book industry. Scott uses his own subject to disect itself. Full of tips and tricks. Makes for great potty reading. http://scottmccloud.com/

Reinventing Comics is pretty good. NOthing Beats his first book, Understanding Comics…
Thanks, Will, thats exactly the sort of book I was thinking about. I think it would force people to see things in a new way, in a very ninja like way.
