    stu­dents are not clas­si­fied as “suc­cess­ful” in the com­mon usage of the word.
    Sure, you can be a suc­cess­ful stu­dent. You can also be a suc­cess­ful village idiot or suc­cess­ful town drunk.

    i have never tried to (exple­tive) village idiots. But you have made a good point to think of suc­cess in “qua­lity” and not “quan­tity” ;-)
