god i’m boring

God, I’m boring.
I know. Been slack posting new cartoons. Tell me about it. Been recycling too many old ones. The reality is, I work all the time now. And my job is a 90 minute commute each way.
Often I’m just too tired at the end of the day to schlepp over my scanner. Sad but true.
The good news is: I’ve not been slack in the drawing department. Plenty of new stuff to post in the next few weeks.
The other good news is: I really like my new job, even if it messes up my whole blogging schtick.
New Readers: here’s how you can tell if the drawing’s a new one or not. The new ones usually have nothing written under them, and the title is related to the drawing. The old, recycled ones usually have a wee bit of writing under them, and the title is usually related to the writing, not the drawing (i.e. just like this one). Basically, I use old drawings to “decorate” the written pieces.
That makes sense, right?
I dunno. It amuses me to work this way. The point of this exercise is to keep me amused, after all…

Don’t pressure yourself
I’d wager that the majority of your readers like – or are at least indifferent to – seeing old gems turn up; the cartoons are mostly one-liners after all. And it’s great that your professional life is headed upwards – that’s more important anyway.
(PS. I just saw this random funny one, it nonchalantly says: “I don’t need religion. I’ve got a blog.”)
Hugh, glad to hear the work stuff is headed upwards as well! The commute… YIKES! Sorry to hear about that.
I like that “I don’t need religion” one, very cool!
Blog when you can… and no, you aren’t boring at all!!!!
